I’m SO happy to be a part of water theme show at Roll Up Gallery on Friday the 31st!
I don’t have any details yet from the organizer but I’ll follow up once I find out.
I’ll be showing my first 3 collections of Yokai series (Japanese monsters) along Japanese folklore.
Why Yokai in the water? Movement of the water, the lighting and the expression depict the creepy mood to me.
I’ll be printing on aluminums. Hope to see you there!
One of my close friends who is a super Yokai freak would be editing the folklores.
パブリックワークスのロールアップギャラリーで グループショーに参加する事になりました。
水のテーマで、私は３つの妖怪のシリーズをお見せします。何で水の中で妖怪の写真なのか良く聞かれるんですが、水の動きと、
光、そこからでる表情と体の動きが 少し怖いムードにも見えるので そこでアイディアが浮かんだのです。
アルミにプリントをするので それでもう少し、冷たい感じも出ると思います。
プレゼンテーションで ３つの妖怪の歴史と昔の話をシンプルに書いて飾ってあるので、楽しんで読んで下さい。
