Thyroid Cancer Survivor
Traci, CA
August 2012, I was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid cancer and had a full thyroidecomy , also lost one parathyroid gland. Opted to not do the Radiated Iodine treatment after surgery. I went from a physically active outdoorsy person, to gaining 40 lbs in three weeks, extreme fatigue, hair loss, constant cough from scar tissue , insomnia, arthritis like body aches, and a sensitivity to wheat. While it is hard to be who I was but try my best to adjust and muddle through all the negatives. I have it netter than most and am thankful for everyday I wake up!
I love water and have always found it therapeutic. I was hopeful that the experience would bring me peace and calming. Plus to look and feel beautiful, when you are not feeling your best is always a positive!! I was a bit fearful of not being able to stay underwater due to my coughing and shallow breathing (that developed after surgery). While I did struggle with them, I felt relaxed and started to have fun!! After it felt like a weight had been lifted. My shoulders and body felt less tense, my body aches were forgotten and I slept good for over a week (something I don’t do at all!!) I can’t explain how or why but the session left me with a peace I have not felt in a long time, and thank you is not enough. But Thank you!!
Erena was very professional, knowledgeable and patient. While I was flaying around, kicking lamps, making way too much bubbles and not sinking down. She was calm, patient and made feel like it was normal and alright.
Here eye captured what I couldn’t see, Beauty in all the chaos…
Have been telling everyone about this!!. I even gave her web site info out at the session.
