My name is Christa Ortiz and I am 43 years old. March 4th, 2015, I was diagnosed with a rare and aggresive form of breast cancer. Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I will never forget the phone call from my doctor at 8:40am and hearing the words “Christa, its cancer”. I was in shock! It took a few days to sink in and when it did. I went into fight mode.

I heard about underwater healer about face from another breast cancer survivor who worked with Erena in Boston. I was in hopes that this opportunity would make me momentarily forget about my diagnosis and treatment and I could feel beautiful again. This experience gave me that and much more! I expected to be nervous but It was the most amazing experience.

I am currently having chemo treatment so I am not feeling well, lost my hair and missing the old me. Being in the pool, feeling the water all around me changed all that. I was free in the water and it seemed nothing else existed outside that pool. It was such a joy to work with Erena. She welcomed me with warm open arms and made me feel so comfortable.

I highly recommend this experience for anyone. There is something about being under water that is so relaxing, healing and free.
