I’m a realtor. I was diagnosed at 35 with Stage 2, HER2-positive breast cancer in my left breast. I found the tumor myself doing a regular breast exam. [After a] double mastectomy and tissue expanders, [I got] reconstruction surgery. For 12 months, I got Herceptin infusions every three weeks. The last one [was] December 30th, 2013!!!!

I was terrified to do the underwater session. I’m not exactly comfortable in my new body. I am also not a strong swimmer and plug my nose with my fingers whenever I am in the water. But I decided to face my fear head on… I just let the water calm me instead of overpower me with fear. I had so much more fun than I thought I would. It’s something that I never thought I would do, yet when put in such a safe and comfortable environment, it was easy. I would totally recommend anyone to do this.

乳癌の克服者

私は不動産業者です。３５歳の時に左胸が２期のHER２陽性乳癌と診断されました。通常の乳房検査をしている最中に自分で腫瘍を発見しました。２重 乳房切除と乳房組織エキスパンダーを受けた後、再建手術を受けました。１２ヶ月の間ハーセプチンの点滴を３週間ごとに受け、最後の点滴は２０１２年１２月 ３０日でした。水中での撮影にはかなり恐怖をいだいていました。自分の新しい体にはまだ違和感を感じています。泳ぎも得意ではなく、水中ではいつも鼻を塞 ぐようにしていました。でも、その恐れに直面する事にしました。水への恐怖心に圧倒される代わりに、水に癒してもらう事にしたので、思っていたより凄く楽 しかったです。今迄、こんなことするなんて思った事ありませんが、恵玲奈が安全で快適な環境を作ってくれた御陰で簡単でした。誰にでも凄くお薦めできます ね。
