Sarah Harrison

Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer Survivor

My name is Sarah Harrison and I am 16 years old. I was born in Florida but I moved to the Cayman Islands when I was very little, and have lived here ever since.

When I was 14, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer. When I was first told, I was not that affected due to the comfort and assurance by my doctors and nurses that I will get better in no time. I was told about the adjustments I would need to make in my lifestyle, but the one thing that made me most nervous were my surgeries.

I want to be involved Underwater Healer About Face as I think this will be a great opportunity. I find this concept very inspiring and comforting as I used to be a competitive swimmer and I am an aspiring marine biologist and artist.

I was nervous going underwater at first, but I quickly became comfortable after a while.

The experience with the underwater portrait session was really fun! It was difficult to stay underwater without the weights, but it was a very enjoyable experience that wasn’t difficult otherwise.

I was very confident after I had finished, and very happy that the photos looked so good and I had an amazing time.

Water means something essential to us, something that we can’t live without so we should embrace it.

I slept very well after I had finished, I actually fell asleep earlier than I usually do and I woke up earlier as well.

I would recommend underwater transformation to other survivors and anyone else because it’s such a great opportunity and very fun. It is a very relaxing experience that everyone should enjoy.
